Ruth B. Heise, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 19, 1912, at Neelys Landing, daughter of Christian Charles and Hattie Wolters Englehart. She and Melvin A. Heise were married Dec. 22, 1934, at Egypt Mills.
Heise had been a cook at Hobbs Restaurant in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1971. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Leon and Carl Heise of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Donna Isaac, Mary Spurlock and Carol Smith, all of Cape Girardeau; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, a brother, and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Church, with the Rev. Paul J. Short officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery at Egypt Mills.
