SCOTT CITY -- Ruth Lee Hale, 72, of Scott City died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 25, 1927, at Commerce, daughter of Uel Lee and Ruth Bolton Miller. She and Roy Everett Hale were married in December 1943 in Cape Girardeau. He died in April 1996...

SCOTT CITY -- Ruth Lee Hale, 72, of Scott City died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 25, 1927, at Commerce, daughter of Uel Lee and Ruth Bolton Miller. She and Roy Everett Hale were married in December 1943 in Cape Girardeau. He died in April 1996.

Hale lived in the Commerce and Scott City areas all her life.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Hale of Scott City, Richard Hale of Vine Grove, Ky.; three daughters, Joyce Roth and Virginia Ashworth of Scott City, Ginnell Hackler of Scott Air Force Base, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
