ULLIN, Ill. -- Ruth Slusher Garden, 69, of Ullin, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Cairo, daughter of Earl and Veniva Murley Sitton.
Garden attended First Baptist Church here, and was a volunteer at Smiles II.
Survivors include a daughter, Tina Venatta of Ullin; five sons, Richard Slusher of Sandwich, Jackie Slusher of Peoria, Gary Slusher of Dongola, Earl and Tony Slusher of Ullin; two brothers, Dean Sitton of Kansas, Earl Sitton of California; a sister, Glenda Miller of Benton, and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg Forbus officiating. Burial will be in Ullin Cemetery.
