C. Ruth Eichhorn, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 21, 1914, in McLeansboro, Ill., daughter of Wilford and Sadie Tieman Smithpeters. She married Paul N. Eichhorn in 1931 in Morris, Ill. He died Dec. 8, 1999.
Eichhorn retired as a salesclerk at Sears Roebuck in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Council of Catholic Woman, Friends of St. Francis, senior citizens, and was a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center.
Survivors include a son, Richard P. Eichhorn of Delray, Fla.; a daughter, Jan F. Eichhorn of Cape Girardeau; a brother, George Smithpeters of Bucyrus, Ohio; a sister, Edith Bradberry of New Lenox, Ill.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10:30-noon Saturday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Revs. Milton F. Ryan and John Cantor officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
