Looney, 84, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1993, at Puxico Nursing Center.

She was born April 28, 1909, at Puxico, daughter of James Columbus Alexander and Clara Ann Montgomery Looney.

Looney lived in Cape Girardeau 50 years, and was retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. She moved back to Puxico in 1983, and was a member of Life Chapel Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two nieces, Vicky Sanders of Sikeston, whom she reared; Juvata Powell of Puxico, and a nephew, Jerry Looney of St. Peters.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
