CHARLESTON -- Ruth E. Cann, 55, of Collinsville, Ill., formerly of Charleston died Saturday, Aug. 31, 1996, at her home.
She was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Charleston, the daughter of Kit and Mildred Medlock Jones. She was married to James Cann.
Cann was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jimmy Cann of Greenville, Ill., and Darren Cann of Collinsville; one daughter, Paula Casey of Charleston; one brother, Edward Jones of Collinsville; five sisters, Mary Cann, Sandra Barnes and Betty Brewer of Granite City, Ill., Marjorie Ousley of Edwardsville, Ill., and Sharon Trentmann of Imperial; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
