THEBES, Ill. -- Ruth Harvell Durham, 91, of Thebes died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 27, 1908, at Thebes, daughter of Daniel Webster and Adeline Holmes Sammons. She and Edward C. Harvell were married Feb. 20, 1945. He died March 20, 1956. She and James A. Durham were married Dec. 17, 1958. He died Oct. 13, 1966...

THEBES, Ill. -- Ruth Harvell Durham, 91, of Thebes died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 27, 1908, at Thebes, daughter of Daniel Webster and Adeline Holmes Sammons. She and Edward C. Harvell were married Feb. 20, 1945. He died March 20, 1956. She and James A. Durham were married Dec. 17, 1958. He died Oct. 13, 1966.

Durham was a member of First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son and three half sisters.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. today.

Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes. The Rev. Carl D. Fisher will officiate.
