PARMA -- Funeral service for Ruth Cole of Parma will be held at 11 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma. The Rev. Loren Belt will officiate, with burial in Parma Cemetery.

Cole, 56, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born May 18, 1938, at Parma, daughter of Ray A. and Ivah Jines Cole.

Cole held a master's degree in education. She began teaching at Portageville in 1965, and had been a teacher at New Madrid County Central Schools since 1973. She was a member of Parma Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Wilma Durham of Parma and Kay Russell of La Junta, Colo.
