Russell Edward Null, 68, of Scott City died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at his home.
He was born June 10, 1942, in Nitro, W.Va., to Walter Marion and Margaret Elizabeth Harrison Null. He and Mary Francis Russell were married Nov. 9, 1985, in Cahokia, Ill.
Null was a bridge construction supervisor.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bobby and Gary Thompson of Granite City, Ill., Terry Thompson of Scott City; three daughters, Carol Edger, Terena Heffner and Tracy Watson, all of Scott City; two sisters, Joyce Duncan and Dottie Crotty of Cocoa, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ricky Thompson; and a daughter, Deborah Thompson.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. to service time today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Allie McKnight officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
