Russell Lee Mason, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 22, 2000, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
He was born Nov. 6, 1907, in St. Louis, son of William Edward and Clara Elizabeth Ebel Mason. He and Dora Carolyn Clingingsmith were married May 27, 1937, at Glen Allen.
Mason farmed for a time. He then taught science and was a guidance counselor at Jackson R-2 Schools 19 years, retiring in 1969. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Don Mason of Jackson, and a daughter, Jean Mason of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and two sisters.
There is no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Jackson.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
