DEXTER -- Russell Lemons, 76, of Dexter died Sunday, April 6, 1997, at the Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
He was born at Morehouse on July 10, 1920, son of James D. and Frances M. Heath Lemons. He and Maxine Maisel were married Dec. 6, 1941, at Bloomfield.
Lemons had lived in Dexter most of his life where he was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his wife; a son, William Lemons of St. Peters; two sisters, Toots Duggins and Chlora Christian, both of Dexter; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Doyle Corlew will officiate, with burial at Dexter Cemetery.
