ORAN -- Russell E. Hatfield, 89, of Oran, died Monday, Jan. 17, 1994, at the Miner Nursing Center in Sikeston. He was born Jan. 29, 1904, at Curren, Ill., son of Ed and Minnie Van Doren Hatfield. He married Buelah A. Parker, Feb. 10, 1940. She died Jan. 12, 1991...

ORAN -- Russell E. Hatfield, 89, of Oran, died Monday, Jan. 17, 1994, at the Miner Nursing Center in Sikeston.

He was born Jan. 29, 1904, at Curren, Ill., son of Ed and Minnie Van Doren Hatfield.

He married Buelah A. Parker, Feb. 10, 1940. She died Jan. 12, 1991.

Hatfield raised cattle. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Larry Hatfield of Oran; two daughters, Russell Ann Duke of Sikeston, Barbara Caudle of Oran; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother, two sisters and a grandson.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery in Morley.
