Rusby A. "Rus" Rudluff, 66, of McClure, Illinois, passed away at 9:34 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 7, 1953, in Alexander County, Illinois, to Leon and Hazel Laird Rudluff.
Rusby was of the Baptist faith. He had worked at Kasten-Ceramo, BioKyowa, Havco and, recently, Lutheran Home. He enjoyed fishing, browsing flea markets and, most of all, his cats.
He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Rudluff and Nikki Golden, both of Cape Girardeau; sister, Donna Tarr of Cape Girardeau; brother, Hubert Rudluff of McClure; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; and his favorite feline, Blackie.
Rusby was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vicky Hill, Virginia Monahan and Celeste Ralfs; and brothers, Roger, Michael and Alvin Rudluff.
A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau. Reflections by family and friends will be welcomed at 6 p.m.
