Ruie Elizabeth Calhoun, 71, of Scott City died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 10, 1932, in Johnsonville, Tenn., daughter of William Henry and Mamie Corbitt Ledbetter. She and Raymond Lee Calhoun were married in January 1960. He died Dec. 21, 2003.
Formerly of East Prairie, Mo., she had lived in Scott City eight years. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church at Marston, Mo.
Survivors include five sons, Steve Craddock and Donnie Metheny of Jackson, William Nowling of Portland, Ore., Raymond Calhoun of Banning, Calif., Jimmy Calhoun of Scott City; four brothers, William Ledbetter of Cahokia, Ill., Henry Ledbetter of Ocala, Fla., Glen and Edgar Ledbetter of East Prairie; two sisters, Mary Prigen of Decatur, Ala., Alice Ledbetter of Pensacola, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons and a brother.
Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery. Randy Morse will officiate.
Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
