PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Rudolph "Rudy" O. Buerck Jr., 68, of Perryville died Friday, April 7, 2006, at his home.
He was born Jan. 21, 1938, in Belgique, Mo., son of Rudolph J. and Bertha Baer Buerck. He and Catherine M. Gebhardt were married April 4, 1959. She died Dec. 31, 1980. He and Saundra Marie Brewer were married Aug. 8, 1989, in Perryville.
He was a fourth-degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 1263, American Legion Post 133, River Hills Eagles Lodge 4034, Elks Lodge 2701 and AmVets Post 94. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tim Buerck and Mike Buerck, both of Perryville; a daughter, Sandy Buerck of Perryville; three stepchildren, Tammy Faulkner of Dyersburg, Tenn., Terry Brewer of Perryville, Sidney Paul of Perryville; six brothers; Glennon Buerck and Tom Buerck, both of Uniontown, Eugene Buerck and Jerry Buerck, both of Festus, Mo., Robert Buerck and Roger Buerck, both of Perryville; three sisters, Bernetta Buchheit of Washington, Ind., Birdella Schnurbusch of St. Louis, Stella Prevallet of Perryville; five grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with parish and Knights of Columbus wake at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurus Cemetery in Biehle, Mo. Military graveside service will be provided by American Legion Post 133.
