PUXICO, Mo. -- Ruby Vanscyoc, 96, of Puxico died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Pine Lawn Residential Care. She was born Oct. 12, 1904, in Puxico, daughter of Oscar and Minnie Gray Buckhanan. She and Robert Vernon Vanscyoc were married Aug. 23, 1925. He died July 16, 1986...

PUXICO, Mo. -- Ruby Vanscyoc, 96, of Puxico died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Pine Lawn Residential Care.

She was born Oct. 12, 1904, in Puxico, daughter of Oscar and Minnie Gray Buckhanan. She and Robert Vernon Vanscyoc were married Aug. 23, 1925. He died July 16, 1986.

Vanscyoc was a lifelong resident of Puxico.

Survivors include five daughters, Mary Parsley of Puxico, Emma Shy of Fenton, Mo., Saundra Clark of Asherville, Mo., Roberta Kennedy of Valrico, Fla., Ruby Edwards of Thornfield, Mo.; a brother, Moulder Buckhanan of Schertz, Texas; a sister, Emma Higgins of Caro, Mich.; 25 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico after 6 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dean Medlin officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Puxico.
