ADVANCE, Mo. -- Ruby Jane VanGennip, 81, of Advance died Friday, June 30, 2000, at her home.
She was born Aug. 7, 1918, at Sank, daughter of George Washington and Bertie Pohlman Fowler. She and Paul VanGennip were married Sept. 2, 1939, at Marble Hill.
VanGennip was employed at Inland Shoe Co. 15 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry VanGennip of Advance; a daughter, Judy Sullinger of Advance; three brothers, Donald and Robert Fowler of Advance, Ralph Fowler of Aurora, Ill.; three sisters, Jewell Umfleet and Mildred Hearnes of Advance, Dorthy Jones of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4:30-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stan Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park at Marble Hill.
