JACKSON -- Funeral service for Mrs. Ruby Turner of Jackson will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. W. Michael Woods will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Turner, 85 years old, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 1991, at her home.
She was born Jan. 5, 1905, at Old Appleton, daughter of Bennett Cotner and Lydia Bohnsack. She married Pier Turner Dec. 26, 1921. He died Oct. 9, 1971.
The Turners farmed and had an orchard south of Oak Ridge from 1921 to 1971. She lived in Jackson 15 years, moving back to the family farm in 1987. She was a lifelong member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church, member of United Methodist Women and Roberts Homemakers Club.
Survivors include four sons, Burnell Turner of Jackson, Paul Turner of Oak Ridge, James D. and John B. Turner of Jackson; four grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
A grandson preceded her in death.
