SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Ruby A. Stevens, 78, of Scott City died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 15, 1922, in Bollinger County, daughter of Charley and Polly Cook Hanners. She and Dale D. Stevens were married June 30, 1939, in Jackson, Mo. He died Dec. 2, 1997.
Mrs. Stevens was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include one son, Jackie Stevens of McClure, Ill.; one daughter, Bobbie Choate of Scott City; one brother, Roy Hanners of Burfordsville, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with David Bragg officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
