SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ruby Nickell Neal, 92, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo. She was born March 26, 1912, at Sturdivant, Mo., daughter of Elmer and Ethel Bridges Propst. She married Elvis Ralph Nickell, who preceded her in death in October 1975. She and Milton Neal were married in August 1999...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ruby Nickell Neal, 92, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

She was born March 26, 1912, at Sturdivant, Mo., daughter of Elmer and Ethel Bridges Propst. She married Elvis Ralph Nickell, who preceded her in death in October 1975. She and Milton Neal were married in August 1999.

Neal retired from International Shoe Co. in 1974. She was a member of First Christian Church and Ladies Auxiliary of Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jim and Larry Nickell of Sikeston; Ralph Nickell of Dexter; a sister, Geneva Hobbs of St. Peters, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from noon to service time Friday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Dr. Alan Shriver officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
