ANNA, Ill. -- Ruby C. Ligon, 93, of Anna died Sunday, June 11, 2006, at her home. She was born May 16, 1913, in Cobden, Ill., daughter of Charles and Carrie Batson Jungers. She and John Earl Ligon were married June 7, 1931. He died Sept. 25, 2002. Ligon had worked at International Shoe Co., owned and managed Anna Hotel in the 1960s, and gave piano lessons many years. ANNA, Ill. -- Ruby C. Ligon, 93, of Anna died Sunday, June 11, 2006, at her home.

She was born May 16, 1913, in Cobden, Ill., daughter of Charles and Carrie Batson Jungers. She and John Earl Ligon were married June 7, 1931. He died Sept. 25, 2002.

Ligon had worked at International Shoe Co., owned and managed Anna Hotel in the 1960s, and gave piano lessons many years. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, John Ligon of Anna, James Ligon of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a daughter, Jean Hall of Anna; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dee Armes officiating. Bill Littrell will give the eulogy. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
