Ruby Anna Lance, 91, of Scott City died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 31, 1916, at Darksville, Mo., daughter of John Allen and Vertie Mae Westlake Rice. She and Jack F. Lance were married Oct. 2, 1943, in Cape Girardeau. He died May 5, 1968.
Lance had been a cook at Blue Hole Bar-B-Q and Rainbow Drive-In.
Survivors include a son, Robert Lance of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Carol Hagan of Scott City; a brother, J. Arthur Rice of San Dimas, Calif.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 18 great-stepgrandchildren; and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, a great-granddaughter and a stepgrandson.
A private graveside service was held Thursday at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
