TAMMS, Ill. -- Ruby Holshouser Hargrove, 89, of Tamms died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 5, 1924, in Diswood, Ill., daughter of Millard and Rosa Miller Henderson.
Ruby was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn (Jim) Caldwell of Thebes, Ill., and Ann Houser of Chicago; four sons, Ray (Donna) Holshouser of Jonesboro, Ill., Bob (Sandy) Holshouser of Woodridge, Ill., David Holshouser of Marion, Ill., and Ronnie (Jodene) Holshouser of Jackson; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Victor Holshouser and Ed Hargrove; her parents; a son, Jackie Ray Holshouser; siblings, Asa, Eli, Jerry, Chris, Gert, Iva, Ernie, Lee, Clyde and Dora.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Monahan officiating. Interment will be in Miller Cemetery near Tamms.
Memorial contributions may be made to Miller Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
