CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Ruby Geraldine Ellis, 83, of Chaffee died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at Crystal Oak Care Center in Crystal City, Mo.
She was born Jan. 31, 1920, at Fornfelt, Mo., daughter of Buford Harrison and Iva Crites Fowler. She and Howard William Hopper were married in 1936. He died in 1938. She and James Parwin Ellis were married in 1948. He died in 1956.
Ellis moved to Chaffee in 1956 from Wichita, Kan. She had been a supervisor at Thorngate Ltd. She was a member of first Christian Church in Chaffee, and Eagles Auxiliary Aeries 3775 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Valle of Oakville, Mo.; a sister, Beatrice Dudley of Chaffee; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, three stepbrothers, and a stepsister.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Vyron Yount officiating.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
