RUBY DAY

ADVANCE -- Ruby Inez Day, 76, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Sept. 24, 1923, in Advance, daughter of Ben and Ada Pixley Croy. She married Curtis J. Day Sr. April 5, 1947. He died July 10, 1973. Day was a bookkeeper at Machinery Inc., retiring in 1978. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 4120...

ADVANCE -- Ruby Inez Day, 76, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Sept. 24, 1923, in Advance, daughter of Ben and Ada Pixley Croy. She married Curtis J. Day Sr. April 5, 1947. He died July 10, 1973.

Day was a bookkeeper at Machinery Inc., retiring in 1978. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 4120.

She served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis Day Jr. of Montgomery, Ala., Randall Day of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Stephanie Baese of St. Louis; three sisters, Mabel Bogad of Waynesville, Addie and Ella Smith of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandsons; and a stepgranddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today. Eastern Star rites will be at 7.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
