JACKSON -- Ruby Abbott, 73, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 1994, at her home. She was born Dec. 11, 1920, at Frohna, daughter of Henry and Alma Koenig Mangels. JACKSON -- Ruby Abbott, 73, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 1994, at her home.

She was born Dec. 11, 1920, at Frohna, daughter of Henry and Alma Koenig Mangels. She and Loren Abbott were married July 9, 1938, at Poplar Bluff.

Abbott was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sisters, Mabel Aufdenberg and Leona Ponder of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Walter Fehrmann will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
