Roy Menz
Roy Lee "Big Un" Menz, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at his home.
He was born May 20, 1945, in Oran, Mo., son of William and Hazel Smith Menz.
Menz worked in the construction industry in Cape Girardeau and Cook counties many years. He was currently disabled. His family and friends mourn the loss of this big man, known for his tenderhearted manner and his huge gift for great humor.
He is survived by three daughters, Dody Menz of Cape Girardeau, Cara Huckstep of Scott City, Lena Hays of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, Kelsie Ramos, Connor Donaldson, Joshua Locke, Jordy Fath, Landon Hays, Savannah Huckstep, Ellie Huckstep; a great-grandchild, Dylan Locke; and 12 brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and close friends will say their goodbyes to Roy, in accordance with his preference, at a simple private ceremony following his requested cremation.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
