MALDEN -- Graveside service for James Roy McNew of Malden will be held at 11 a.m. today at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. The Rev. Loyd Adams will officiate.

Friends may call today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

McNew, 92, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett.

He was born Feb. 25, 1906, in London, Ky., son of George Washington and Margaret Copeland McNew. He and Thelma Lorell Culbertson were married May 23, 1932, at Kennett. She died March 17, 1998.

McNew was a retired tree trimmer.

Survivors include a son, Billy McNew of Malden; three daughters, Velma Elliott and Fay Reed of Catawissa, Dorothy Williams of Niles, Mich.; a sister, Marie Prince of Jackson; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
