JONESBORO, Ill. -- Graveside service for Roy C. Emerson of Jonesboro will be held at 1 p.m. today at Anna Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Staton officiating.

Emerson, 81, was found dead Tuesday, Nov. 21, 1995, at his home.

He was born July 19, 1914, in Johnson County, son of William and Martha Sutliff Emerson. He and Golda Weiss were married Sept. 28, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She died March 17, 1992.

Emerson was a retired cabinet maker.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother and three half brothers.
