CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Roy A. Grider of Bradenton, Fla., was held Nov. 15 at Manasota Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Ringland officiating. Burial was in Manasota Memorial Park Cemetery.
Grider, 74, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1991, at Manatee Convalescent Center in Bradenton.
He was born Dec. 8, 1916, at Charleston, son of John Sampson and Sallie Graham Grider. He and Sudie Tinsley were married Sept. 29, 1940.
They moved to Kokomo, Ind., in 1951, and have lived in Bradenton the past 22 years. He was a building inspector in Bradenton.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Janet and Stacy of Bradenton, Carol Carpenter of Kokomo; a son, Allan Grider of Palmetto, Fla.; two sisters, Lucille DeLine of Charleston, Clarabelle Speroff of Kokomo; a brother, James Grider of Rogers, Ark.; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
