Rosina Poe

Rosina Louise Poe, 99, of Jackson passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at Monticello House.

She was born May 17, 1920, in Tilsit to the late Henry and Rosa Birk Sebastian. Rosina and Cletus Conrad Poe were married Oct. 27, 1957, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Dec. 12, 1983.

She was a foster mother for 47 children through the years and was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include stepsons, Ronald Wayne (Judy) Poe of Cape Girardeau and David Lynn (Judy) Poe of Miramar Beach, Florida; one stepgrandson; and one great-stepgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; stepdaughter, Lawanda J. Montgomery; brothers, Herbert P. and Hubert T. Sebastian; and sister, Ruby Sebastian.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
