Rosie Choate

Rosie L. Choate, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born March 14, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, to Nieves and Carlota Arocha Lara.

She was a member of the Church on the Rock in Sikeston, Missouri.

Survivors include a son, Edward H Jaco of Cape Girardeau; brother, Felix Lara of Texas; eight grandchildren, Jason Jaco of Jackson, Jessica Jaco of Jackson, Stephanie Jaco of Michigan, Catherine Jaco of Cape Girardeau, Allison Jaco of Cape Girardeau, Robert Griffith of Cape Girardeau, Amber Seeley of Jackson and Jennifer Howard of Cape Girardeau; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Hazel C. Boese; two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Curtis True officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Jaco, Dustin Stevens, Jerry Schlitt, Charles Jaco, Matt Howard and Donald Howard Jr.
