CHARLESTON, Mo. — Rosie P. Betts, 72, of Charleston died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at her home.
She was born March 17, 1937, in Sikeston, Mo., daughter of Otis and Georgia Viola Fulton McAllister. She married Jimmy Betts.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, Donald Betts of Pennsylvania, James Betts of Charleston, Dale Betts of Noblesville, Ind., Sherman and Bruce Betts of Cape Girardeau; six daughters, Flora Clemons of Cape Girardeau, Marilyn Brown of Merriam, Kan., Prisus Betts and Mary Bates of Logansport, Ind., Dinita Grady of Walton, Ind., Gloria Hayes of Germantown, Md.; a brother, James McAllister of Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Edith Crawford of St. Louis; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at Bowden Civic Center in Charleston.
The funeral will be at noon Friday at the center, with Aaron Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Williams Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
