Rosetta Ruth Lingle, 90, of St. Louis, passed away Oct. 31, 2017, at her home. She was born Feb. 22, 1927, in Advance, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Calvin and Sadie Pearl Sylcox Humphreys. Rosetta was a graduate of Zalma High School. She obtained her college degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Rosetta's teaching career involved many young lives in the Fox C-6 District in Aronld, Missouri, and the Victory Christian School in St. Louis County...

Rosetta Ruth Lingle, 90, of St. Louis, passed away Oct. 31, 2017, at her home. She was born Feb. 22, 1927, in Advance, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Calvin and Sadie Pearl Sylcox Humphreys.

Rosetta was a graduate of Zalma High School. She obtained her college degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Rosetta's teaching career involved many young lives in the Fox C-6 District in Aronld, Missouri, and the Victory Christian School in St. Louis County.

Rosetta spent her time loving her family and loving other families.

Rosetta loved Jesus and supporting ministries that spread Bibles and supported needy children. She also loved little children and garage sales.

Rosetta and Troy Lingle were united in marriage in June of 1943. He preceded her in death in 1975.

Loving survivors include two daughters, Terry (Jim) Allen and Ann (Michael) Lange; grandchildren, Dan, John, Michael, Matthew, Cassie, Jackie, Elizabeth, Anthony, Parker, Kenzie, Bri, Grant, Joshua, Gabi, Carter, Colton and Evie; and daughter-in-law, Gail Lingle.

She had the privilege of being born into a loving family with seven brothers and two sisters: George, Bob, Velma, Fred, Charles, Jean, Ivan, Clyde and Larry. All preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Troy Duane Lingle in 2013.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Kutis Funeral Home in South County. A funeral service will be held at noon at the chapel. Burial will follow at Berrong Cemetery near Zalma, Missouri.
