CHARLESTON -- Rosetta Hatchett, 76, of Highland, Ill., formerly of Charleston, died Friday, March 29, 1996, at Highland Health Care Center.
She was born June 29, 1919, in Wildon, Ark., to Cato and Mamie Butler Randle. She was married to Joe L. Hatchett, who died Dec. 27, 1979.
Hatchett was a member of the Mercy Seat Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Solomon Hatchett, Joe L. Hatchett Jr. and Gary Robert Hatchett, all of Charleston; three daughters, Shirley Hatchett of Springfield, Ill., Joyce Evans-Webb of Tampa, Fla., and Rosetta Garth of Chicago; a stepson, Joe Henry of California; two sisters, Zebeadie Sinks and Daisy Guy, both of St. Louis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Friends may call from noon to 1 Tuesday at the Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Murray Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
