Funeral service was held recently for Rosemary Bowman Rasberry of Georgia.
Rasberry, 76, died Thursday, April 7, 1994, in Austell, Ga.
She was born May 6, 1917, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Harold Manning and Olive Myrtle McIntire Tallent. Following the death of her mother three years later, she was reared in Cape Girardeau by her grandparents, George Washington and Emma Jane Tucker Tallent Jr. She graduated from Central High School in 1934.
She first married Eugene Fowler Bowman of Sikeston June 30, 1934. She later married Thomas Jefferson Rasberry Aug. 8, 1946. He died in 1976.
During World War II she worked for the Missouri Institute of Aeronautics Inc. at Harvey Parks Airport in Sikeston. She later worked for the Federal Aviation Administration in Memphis, Tenn., and New Orleans, La.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Bowman of Boulder, Colo., Deborah Schmitz of Woodstock, Ga., Melissa Cooper of Kennesaw, Ga.; a son, Jeffrey Rasberry of Fayetteville, Ga.; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son.
