Rosemary O. McGee, 82, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, June 1, 2007, at her home.
She was born Aug. 3, 1924, in Commerce, Mo., daughter of Roy and Rozena Oguin Knight. She and Robert D. McGee were married Feb. 10, 1944, in Scott County, Mo. He died July 22, 1983.
McGee attended Cornerstone Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty (Ralph) Phillips of Cape Girardeau, Regina (Tom) Taggart of Gonzales, Texas; a son, Steven McGee of Reelfoot Lake, Tenn.; a brother, Roy Lee Knight of Commerce; 12 grandchildren, Trisha Sikes and Lisa Brooks of Jackson, whom she raised; Mark Phillips of Cape Girardeau, Christina Green of Cape Girardeau, Brittany Matlock of Gonzales, Heather Matlock of Cape Girardeau, Michael McGee of Cape Girardeau, Melissa McGee of Nixa, Mo., Patty Cole of Oak Ridge, Cindy Sims of Olive Branch, Ill., Billy McGee of Cape Girardeau, Jeffery McGee of Cape Girardeau; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert McGee Jr.; three brothers; and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billy Webre officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.
