MAINEVILLE, Ohio -- Rosemary Greenwell Campbell, 89, of Maineville was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
She was born on Leap Day, Feb. 29, 1928, to Windfield and Mary Burke Greenwell in Grand Tower, Illinois. She was their only child.
Rosemary was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She attended Southeast Missouri State College.
She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Nelson Gene Campbell.
Rosemary grew up in Cape Girardeau, moving to Ohio in 1957. The family moved to Lebanon, Ohio, in 1960, where she became a long-time resident.
Rosemary was employed as front-desk supervisor for the former Holiday Inn in Middletown, Ohio, for 25 years. After retiring, her hobbies were traveling, reading, Indy car racing, gardening and caring for her rose garden.
Rosemary's hobby of growing roses won her many awards at the county fairs through the years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whom everyone called "Mamaw."
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rosemary leaves behind three children, Bunny Arnett of Maineville, Greg Campbell of South Lebanon, Ohio, and Scott Campbell of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Kelly (Kerry) McKiernan of Maineville, Rodney (Beth) Arnett of West Chester, Ohio, and Adam Campbell and Megan Campbell of Lebanon; and many great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be at the family's convenience.
The family wishes to extend its gratitude to Otterbein Maineville for its love and care.
