Rose P. Purdom, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 12, 2002, at Chateau Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 16, 1909, at Patton, Mo., daughter of Tivis Damon and Maggie Eva Heitman Robinson.
She and Maxwell Calvin Purdom were married July 14, 1945. He died Nov. 8, 1948.
She was a seamstress a number of years in St. Louis. She worked in sales and alterations at Ladies Toggery & Judy's in Jackson, Mo., before moving to Perryville, Mo. She moved to Chateau Girardeau in 1984. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson and member of Eastern Start in St. Louis since 1950.
Survivors include a sister, Jessie Mae Lottes of Cape Girardeau.
Purdom donated her body to Washington University in St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and a brothers.
Young & Sons Funeral Home of Perryville was in charge of arrangements.
