ORAN -- Funeral mass for Rose Amrhein of Oran will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.

The Rev. Norand Varone will officiate and burial will be in the Guardian Angel Catholic Church Cemetery.

Ms. Amrhein died Friday at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee. She was 91.

She was born Nov. 19, 1899 in Keaney, Mo., the daughter of the late Frank Amrhein Sr. and Ardie Holmes Amrhein.

She was a sewing machine operator for the Buckstein Pants Factory in Chaffee for several years, before moving to St. Louis in 1954, where she worked as a cashier for the Merritt's Bi-Rite Grocery Store until 1965.

She moved back to Oran from St. Louis 1972 and was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church and the St. Ann Sodality in Oran.

Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Sturgeon of Oran; two sisters, Clara Glasdetter of Oran, and Lorene Merritt of St. Louis; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great, great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where a parish rosary will be at 7 p.m.
