Rosa "Rose" Seabaugh, 88, of Jackson passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born Dec. 1, 1926, in Millersville, daughter of Hubert F. and Dessie M. Seabaugh Hartle. She and L.D. Seabaugh were married Oct. 4, 1946, in Jackson. He passed away Sept. 30, 1994.

Rose graduated from the former Patton High School, and worked at the former International Shoe Factory in Jackson. She worked with L.D. in the construction business, preparing new homes for future owners.

She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, family activities, and most recently enjoyed the sunshine while visiting her daughters' families in Florida. She was affectionately called Mamaw by her grandkids, whom she adored.

Loving survivors include two daughters, Connie (Craig) Scheafnocker of St. Pete Beach, Florida, and Teena (Mark) Ningard of Plant City, Florida; a son, Randy (Dee) Seabaugh of Jackson; four grandchildren, Cory Seabaugh, Casey (Jeremy) Meystedt, Ashlyn and Zachary Ningard; a great-grandson, Corbyn Meystedt; two brothers, Art (Kathy) Hartle of Millersville and A.R. (Lula) Hartle of Kentucky Lake, Kentucky.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Jay Hartle, Vesta Mae Bollinger and Alene Proctor.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Jackson Senior Center.
