MOUNDS, Ill. -- Ronnie Tinsley, 55, of Mounds died Friday, April 1, 2005, at his home.
He was born June 17, 1949, in Union County, Ill., son of William and Hazel Dailey Tinsley. He and Beverly Oakes were married June 17, 1996.
Tinsley was a prep operator for Bunge Corp. He was a member of Villa Ridge Union Church and the VFW post in Mounds. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving two years in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Julie Choate of Herrin, Ill.; three stepsons, David Oakes of Dixon, Ill., Tom Oakes of Lone Oak, Texas, Larry Oakes of Tamms, Ill.; four brothers, Farrell Tinsley of Danville, Ill., Loil Tinsley of Cape Girardeau, Harold Tinsley of St. Amot, La., Frank Tinsley of Mounds; four sisters, Hazel Dianne Honkala of Danville, Mary Ann Adams of Cairo, Ill., Linda Tinsley of Anna, Ill., Brenda Tinsley of Danville; four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a sister and four brothers.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home, Tamms, with Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. Burial will be in McCrite Cemetery will full military honors by the Pulaski County VFW Post 8891 and Army Reserves.
