Ronald J. Randol, 64, of Gordonville passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007, at his home.
He was born April 20, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Joe C. and Madelyn Senn Randol. He and Carol Ann Chisum were married Sept. 8, 1973.
Ron was a 1960 graduate of Jackson High School. He then served in the U.S. Navy, honorably discharged in August 1964.
He worked 40 years for Atmos Energy (formerly Associated Natural Gas), retiring in April 2005.
Ron attended Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville. He was a member of Cape Girardeau Kiwanis Club, and formerly served on the Gordonville Town Board and the board for Public Water District 4.
Survivors include Carol, his loving wife of 33 years; a daughter, Kristen Lea Randol of Columbia, Mo.; two brothers, Doug (Connie) Randol of Tilsit, Mo., Dave (Lynne) Randol of Cody, Wyo.; a sister, Brenda Randol of Chula Vista, Calif.; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Also surviving are Carol's parents, Robert and Betty Chisum of Cape Girardeau; her sister, Barb (Don) Seabaugh of Overland Park, Kan.; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, and Wednesday after 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Gary Hoffstetter officiating. Interment will follow in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, with full military honors.
The family suggests memorials to Southeast Hospice or the Christ Lutheran Building Fund.
