Ronald L. Kelsey, 79, of Scott City died Friday, May 7, 2010, at the Monticello House Nursing Home in Jackson where he had been a resident for 31 days.
He was born Sept. 19, 1930 in Dallas, to Harry E. and Dorothy Casey Kelsey.
He and Patricia Ann Carlton were married Sept. 22, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.
He was a real estate broker, developer and builder for many years. He was a member of the Cape Girardeau South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Kelsey of Scott City; two sons, Thomas J. Kelsey of Scott City, Robert L. Kelsey of Benton, Mo.; one daughter, Vicki L. Moore of Scott City; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. May 15 at the Cape Girardeau South Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1150 S. Silver Springs Road in Cape Girardeau, with Earl Norman officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
