JONESBORO, Ill. -- Ronald Eugene Dallas, 47, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, May 5, 1994, at his home.
He was born Jan. 29, 1947, in Anna, son of Carl and Lucille Cox Dallas. He and Joan Koelling were married Oct. 9, 1971, in Anna.
Dallas received a master's degree in 1984 from Southern Illinois University, and was certified in higher education administration in 1990.
He was a teacher at Anna Junior High School, working with children with learning disabilities, behavior disorders, and in special education.
Dallas was a member of MENSA Society, VFW Post in Anna, member and youth leader at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kelly Dallas of the home; three sons, Bryan, Patrick and Joel Dallas of the home; his parents of Anna, and a brother, Richard Dallas of Watkinsville, Ga.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Moriah Church, with Pastor Christine Erdman officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
Friends may call at Norris and Son Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today, and at the church after 11 a.m. Saturday.
