ADVANCE -- Ronald Courter, 77, of Advance died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, at his home.
He was born on Jan. 3, 1920, son of Dan and Willa Seagraves Courter.
He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.
He married Nettie Douglas Cavaner in 1978, at Bloomfield.
Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Jimmy Moody of Zalma and Ronnie Moody of Memphis, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Lorene Cavaner of Zalma; a brother, Rufus Courter of Kokomo, Ind.; four sisters, Maxine Barber and Wilma VanPool of Dexter, Helen Harris of Jackson, and Wanda Green of Wappapello; and 11 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel. Dale Grissom and Mike Yates will officiate, with burial in the Dexter Cemetery.
