CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Funeral for Ronald W. Alvey of O'Fallon, Ill., was held Tuesday at Wolfersberger Funeral Home in O'Fallon. Burial was in O'Fallon City Cemetery.

Alvey, 58, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at his home.

He was born Sept. 17, 1941, son of Earl and Mary Ann Malone Alvey. He married Shirley Elms.

Alvey was a welder with Martin Industries.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ronald Alvey of Belleville, Ill., Steven and Michael Alvey of O'Fallon; a brother, Elton Alvey of O'Fallon; two sisters, Jeannie Stroup and Marcella Sparkman of Chaffee; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
