Rolf H. Svedberg, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Harnosand, Sweden, to Fridolph and Anna Svedberg. He and Gunnel Bohlin were married Aug. 18, 1956, in Ostersund, Sweden.
Rolf was owner of Williamson Business Machines in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of Cape Evening Optimist Club, receiving the outstanding service award in 2004. Rolf was an avid sailor, enjoyed taking his daughter to horse shows, loved snowmobiling in Wisconsin, and enjoyed going to NASCAR races and car shows with his friends.
Survivors include his wife, Gunnel Svedberg of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Patricia (Craig) Cosgrove of Ellicott City, Maryland; and three grandchildren, Caitlyn, Chloe and Connor Cosgrove of Ellicott City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ivan Svedberg.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri or the American Cancer Society.
