SIKESTON -- Funeral for Roland Waters, Sikeston Route 4, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ed Jolley will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the service at the chapel.

Waters, 63, died Saturday, July 24, 1999, at his home.

He was born July 28, 1935, at Diehlstadt, son of Thomas Allen and Lenna Laverta Henson Waters.

Waters was a farm laborer and member of Miner Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by three sisters, Cristeen Whitaker of Sikeston, Eloise Hastings of Richmond, Texas, and Jaynne Brown of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
