Roger East, 46, of Lone Oak, Ky., died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
He was born April 27, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, son of J.J. and Dorothy East.
East was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He was a pharmaceutical representative.
He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Kentucky Coaches Association, and National Guard Association.
East was a special team coach for Lone Oak High School football team, and was active in Lone Oak High School Soccer League.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and was currently a major in Missouri Army National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Pam; three sons, Kyle, Nathan and Erik East of Lone Oak; his parents of Cape Girardeau; five brothers, William East of Parma, Ohio, John and Richard East of Cape Girardeau, David East of Jackson, Tenn., Stephen East of St. Charles; three sisters, Barbara Glueck of Kelso, Karen Altenthal and Mary Boeller of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at Lone Oak Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Church, with the Revs. Rickey Valleroy and Henry Wieder officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, with military rites by members of Missouri National Guard.
